“In the hardest part of the year for me, December, with cold days and limited daylight hours, I felt pushed to make some changes in my life. Perhaps it was realizing that I had been putting myself last in many areas of my life, or the fact that I plan to live to be well over 100 years old and time was getting short to make that happen with another birthday coming up fast.

I have been a mom (bio, foster, adoptive) for well over 50 years. 10 children, 14 grandchildren, one of whom we are raising and still going strong. Always on the go with little time to myself.

I found Emily Freedman around this time and soon had some coaching sessions scheduled. A week prior to our first meeting, I started a small exercise program. After meeting and setting some goals for myself, I was off and running.

Emily taught me about setting S.M.A.R.T. goals, suggested breathing techniques which I practiced under her guidance, and listened while I shared challenges in my life. She gently offered feedback which had me rethinking several areas where changes were needed.
